I picked up a nice (READ:shitty) little netbook I'd like to have hooked up in my ride to constantly datalog. (Not simply a controlled testing environment) I want to be able to have a problem on the road and not just go home and say "What happened?", but instead open up the logs and *see what happened. So the question is, would you be able to work it out so that when Winblows starts it automatically loads the program, and starts datalogging to a file using the date as the name? ie, I get in the car, hit the key (powering up the netbook from "sleep"), NDV picks up the ECU, NDV automatically starts datalogging to a file using the date. (9_2_2010 OR if 9_2_2010 exists then 9_2_2010_n) That would be great, so each time you drive that day is a separate log, or if you are dyno testing you have one for each run. in any case, you have your hands FULL, I know, I just can't help but to ask. (IF it's somehow already implemented, please excuse my ignorance)
